Got Mold?!? ... Clean it Up!!!
Do you see or smell mold in your house? If you do, clean it with 1 cup of household liquid bleach per 1 gallon of water.

Use one of those hospital masks, or whatever you call them... so you don't breath in the bleach.

Don't ever mix a combination of household chemical cleaners together either.
I did that once, a long time ago, in the bathroom shower, and whoa... it was so toxic smelling in there, I couldn't breath :tears: ... my husband had to finish the job cleaning it all out of the shower. I think I mixed bleach, ammonia, and Ajax cleaner all together in the shower, and that's a definite no no!! I could feel the burning in my lungs!!

Why did you mix all of those cleaners together? Were they not doing the job good enough by themselves??

I think a lot of people are in such a rush while cleaning that they don't give the chemicals time to do their job. When something doesn't work immediately people seem to think it's not working at all and then they inadvertently start mixing things not even thinking about it.

When I painted houses, more times than not tile roofs, we had to soak everything in diluted chlorine to kill the molds growing on them. Especially the areas under trees and surrounded by a lot of shrubbery. The new guys would always want to start pressure washing immediately after the chlorine went on, and you can't do that, at least if you want it to be of any use. It's a lot like shocking a pool, it doesn't clear up immediately, it takes awhile.

My fault... I let the shower get a build up of dirt and soap scum on it. And yeah, each individual product required too much elbow grease!!! So I thought if I used all the cleaning products together... that would really do the job!! Not wise thinking!!

joebert's right... gotta let that stuff sit for awhile for it to work, which is what I do now.
