Okay, here is my riddle:

Which is correct to say, "The yolk of the egg are white?" or "The yolk of the egg is white?"

The answer has to be "The yolk of the egg is white?" because yolk is singular, not plural. "Are" is relating to more than one in this case. Am I right????
