To get the stem out of a strawberry, insert a straw into the tip of the strawberry, then push the straw out through the other end!!!

I just pull the green bit off and scoff them - do they sometimes have a thick stem?

:haha:
Just a tip I read that I thought I would pass along in case some fancy cookers out there want to make something scrumptious looking for their guests. I do the same, grab the strawberry by the stem, take a bite, and swallow!! :)

I do the same thing LG does. Unless I'm throwing them in a smoothie or something, then I usually cut a V around the leaves and stem and get rid of them before throwing the strawberry in a blender.

Anyone ever fanned strawberries before ?

I haven't tried since I was a teenager, and it didn't turn out very well because I was in a hurry.
