All of those stories are crazy! I've never worked in fast food so I have no idea what is going on behind the scenes. I don't know if I am happy to hear what really goes on or not! Roaches in treat machines, workers dropping food on the ground and still serving it, and workers who are now in prison for beating up their mothers... the fast food places are becoming a very scary place to me! :scared:

Yeah, and the one scary story we have all heard is don't complain about your food and let it get sent back to the cook. He'll fix it right for you, after he spits on it!! :shock:

I did watch a special on TV awhile back, about all these scary restaurant stories. They had a hidden camera in there, and they showed this cook spitting on the food, they showed this one cook guy who had long hair, and he was rubbing and shaking his hair all over the food he was preparing. The show made me sick!!

Also, because they showed the ugly behavior of the cook with the long creepy hair, they wanted to make a point by showing a pretty gal, with hair that had just been shampooed really good and blow dried, and then through this microscopic camera, they had her shake her head, and it showed all this stuff flying out of her hair. You get their point, right?

Another good indicator around here is the landscaping and whether it looks like it's being taken care of. The pavement is a good indicator in some situations, but there are some really good steak houses and what not with lumpy mulch parking lots so it doesn't always apply.

That is sooooo true. If the owner of the restaurant doesn't have his management take care of the areas that the customers see... just imagine how the areas look that we don't see, especially in the back of the restaurant where the trash cans are. If it's an ugly mess back there, you can guarantee rats are around!! And those creepy disgusting rats will find a way into the kitchen and set up residence.

But I do agree with joebert, there are some good restaurants out there to go to, and I am sure you already know where they are.

Don't even get Joebert started on what they do to the produce at the grocery store! Let's just say washing your fruits and veggies before you eat them is highly recommended!!! :haha:
