I like having two sets of goals. I have a big goal that takes some time to accomplish. I also have small goals... attainable within a week or two. I like to set myself up for success by completing the small goals and that way I don't get discouraged by trying to set a goal too far out and not seeing enough success early on. With me, I didn't see a lot of success early on; it was like a flywheel... It was hard and slow to get it start spinning... but now it is so much easier to keep it going. The small goals kept me going!

One of my main goals starting out was: "Do something... anything active for at least 15 minutes - 5 days this week"

Small goals that you can accomplish to get the ball rolling!!!

For me, to stay consistent with a workout routine, I had to make a list of exercises that I would do for each day of the week. Before I did this, I would go to the gym, do a couple exercises and then leave. Ever since I made a plan of what I would do for each day, I don't leave until I get those exercises done. It may not seem like it would help that much, but it's helped me stay consistent a lot!!! Instead of just looking around and saying, "hmm I maybe I'll do this, maybe I'll do that"... I know exactly what I need to do and it makes it easier to go and get it done!
