I've come across a lot of sites and pages that talk about weight in stones and I had no idea how that was equivalent to pounds so I thought I would look up that information and share it here.

A stone is a British measurement and part of the Imperial system of weights and measures.

1 Stone = 14 Pounds.

We're awkward like that. Our doctors and health professionals now like to talk in Kilos just to confuse things further!

Our gallons are also bigger than US gallons, and petrol is sold in litres. I guess we like to mix and match! :)

Gas is the stuff you heat your house with!
