Definition:
An allergy is a disease in which the immune system reacts abnormally to substances such as fleas, pollens, mold spores, mites, and certain foods. Allergic reactions tend to be unpleasant, while some are serious and few can be fatal. The offensive substances that cause allergies are known as allergens. An allergic reaction may be caused by inhaling or ingesting the allergen.

I think I'm just starting to experience allergies. I've been getting a runny nose a lot for no reason. The ENT doctor said I have developed some allergies. They could have done tests to find out exactly what I am allergic to, but I passed on that for now. I have found that Zyrtec has helped my symptoms go away. Zyrtec is a 24 hour antihistamine blocker. Works good for me.

I have outgrown a lot of my childhood allergies. I find that my reactions are also less severe now that my nose was fixed. I think the sinus passages were doubly bad due to the condition of my nose. I usde to always get allergy induced migrane headaches dur to certain smells, one I could always count on was citronella. After my surgery I was at an outdoor wedding immered in the stuff and all I got was a tiny little headache. Before I know I would have gotten tunnel vision and felt sick with a pounding headache. Your sinuses play a huge role in the severity of your allergic reaction.

Maybe my sinuses have gone downhill since I'm getting older and maybe that is why I have started to experience slight allergies?
