If you are struggling with arthritic and other aches, maybe you should try sleeping with an electric blanket. Electric blankets are a good source of therapeutic heat. They are better than heating pads because heating pads on too high of a setting can burn the skin if you sit on it for too long.

Electric blankets can provide low, continuous heat to painful joints and muscles, which can result in less stiffness in the morning.

Give it a try.

Is there any fire hazzards if you sleep with an electric blanket on?

I don't know if it is a good idea for your body to sleep with the electric blanket on. Maybe just use the electric blanket while you are curled up on the couch during your favorite TV show or something to ease your muscles. You are not supposed to sleep in hot conditions because overheating your body during sleep is believed to disrupt your sleep cycle.

As for fire hazards, I'm sure the blankets come with warnings, but you can always be safe and have yours tested.

I would say yes, unless my parents just got a lemon. Their electric blanket caught on fire at the foot of their bed. They did manage to put it out and not have to call 911. That scared my mom so bad, she will not own another one, ever. Oh, the most important part of this story is .... the electric blanket they had was brand new!!

Oh wow, I can't believe their electric blanket caught on fire! I might be traumatized too if that happened to me. Did they at least take the blanket back and get their money for it since it kinda didn't work???
