There are certain foods that can help aid Sinusitis, and there are other foods that can make it worse. They are listed below.
Increase intake of:
- Garlic supplement
- Yarrow leaves
- Echinacea
- Onions
- Ephedra herbs
- A multi-vitamin with vitamins A & E.
- Wasabi powder/sauce clears mucus and has anti-inflammatory powers.
- A mixture of freshly squeezed lemon juice in hot water
- Chicken soup
- Fresh juice
- Honey/mint or ginger teas
Decrease intake of:
- Refined sugars - these can provide the sinusitis causing bacteria with nutrition.
- Dairy products (cheese, milk, yogurt, butter)
- Sweets
- Chocolates
- Yeast products
- Alcohol
- Soft drinks
- Smoking
