People who do quick weight loss or large weight loss dieting - more than 3 pounds per week - are at greater risk of developing gallstones than those who lose weight at a slower pace. Rapid weight loss may also cause silent gallstones (painless gallstones) to become symptomatic (showing symptoms).

I found a strange tidbit of information when I was looking to see what gallstones actually are.
