- Skipping breakfast. If you skip your breakfast this can raist your risk for diabetes by 30-50 percent. Skipping breakfast can make you hungrier throughout the day which will make you eat more.
- Waking up in the middle of the night. If you wake up regularly in the middle of the night this can raise your risk for diabetes by 98 percent. Not being able to stay asleep means that you are not getting the proper amount of rest for the night. This makes you more prone to developing insulin resistance, which can lead to diabetes.
- Eating at fast food restuarants more than two times a week. This raises your risk by 100 percent.
- High stress. This is a biggy. It can raise your risk for diabetes by 184 percent. It can interfere with your ability to make insulin and process glucose.
