Things you should NEVER share!!
There are many things you shouldn't share... but here are some you should NEVER EVER share!!

Your razor
Your earrings
Your mascara

AND.......
Your keyboard - studies show that keyboards have as many germs as your toilet!!!

I wonder why sharing earrings is bad? I can understand if you ear is infected, but if your ear is not infected I wonder what can be spread through sharing earrings?

Best way to explain it is like sharing a needle, sorta.

If you break the skin when inserting the post in your ear and get blood on the post, someone using your earring could get your blood in them, and they could get the virus hepatitis C. When hepatitis C gets into a persons liver, it causes cancer of the liver.

But what about for someone like me who has had their ears pierced since kindergarten?... my ears don't ever bleed. The skin has grown completely around the holes and they never get infected or bleed.

Razor was the first thing that came to mind for me when I read the title of this thread.

I'm on the fence about earrings. I could see how you may be safe if both parties are someone who regularly wears earrings. Ear skin is pretty sensitive and prone to breakage though, isn't it ? I've never had my ears pierced, so I really have no idea. I just know my ears are really soft. :ouch:

Mascara is eye makeup isn't it ? I could see how things that go around the eye would be bad to share. Pinkeye, herpes eye infections, etc. ewe !

I don't like sharing shoes. I had too many problems with athletes foot when I was younger, I don't want to take any unneeded chances of having a problem with it again. That stuff sucks !

I remember being in middle school gym class and there would always be a couple of people who wanted to borrow everyones deodorant. It was tough to say no when you had the spray on stuff, so everyone started bringing in the gels and sticks so they could say "I don't want your funk on my junk, ya stinky bastard !" :haha:

I have to agree with foot stones, for the same reason I don't like sharing shoes.

Some of my college basketball teammates would want to borrow other people's deodorant! I was not a fan of letting other people put their arm pit sweat on my deodorant so if anybody asked me for some I always acted as if I didn't have any with me!!!

I'm kinda bad when it comes to sharing germs though. I don't like sharing them. Another thing my college teammates liked doing was drinking out of everybody else's drinks... I hated it when people drank off my straw, especially! If that ever happened I always had to wipe my straw off with a napkin.

yes i quit agree wit these items give a greater chance for someone to contact a bad diseas so we all must be carefull when we are handling these items especially the earing for women coz they like sharing their things so we all should be carefull

I agree do not share your Keyboard. I have a new job position as the new account payable clerk. The person who used the keyboard before me did a very poor job at keeping it clean. I tried cleaning it myself but it's still filled with so much dirt.

This is something that's never worried me- not keyboards and stuff, anyway. We use a computer at work (and I say we because there's three of us that use it) and because it's in our engineering shop it get's covered in cack due to our dirty hands anyway. When you spend most of your day covered in muck you tend not to worry about it.

When I worked for Royal Mail I used to handle mail items that had probably been through multiple hands. Just think about how many people have handled the coins and notes in your pocket!

I draw the lines at things like razors, toothbrushes and earrings though. (Yes, I have pierced ears, though you can put a finger through them, so most earrings don't fit anyway...)
