As far back as 1943, a U.S. physician recommended Vitamin B1 as a means of combating mosquitoes. Take 200 milligrams a day for the dose. When this vitamin is taken by mouth, some of the vitamin is excreted via the skin and is enough to act as an effective insect repellent.

Interesting, I'll have to tell my brother about this... he seems to be the biggest mosquito magnet that I've ever met!
