Just wanted to make a post where people can acknowledge their most un-healthy habits and hopefully by posting them and acknowledging them, that will help us quit these habits... or at least help us try and get them under control!

I have a habit of sometimes eating when I am bored.

The habit I am constantly trying to get rid of is my laziness!

I have a bad habit of eating treats too early in the day. I want to be able to eat my dessert at night, but sometimes I find myself eating desserts before noon! :oh:

I picked up this habit of "going out to breakfast" and I WANT to STOP!! I have gained 4 pounds so far. I have 2 BIG pancakes, 4 bacon strips, 2 eggs, and about 3 cups of coffee with cream and sugar!! Whoa!! And after I am done eating all that and I am driving home, I wish I would not have gone out to breakfast and ate all that. And it's expensive too!!

Pancakes are filling. I can never eat all of the pancakes I get, I always have at least one small one or half a large one left over and if I try to stuff it down I feel like I'm going to puke.

I really can't think of what my worst habbit is, it used to be smoking but I quit doing that.

I agree about pancakes. I never order pancakes at breakfast because I know how filling they are. I know I will get full really fast and won't be able to enjoy any of the other breakfast foods that I want to eat! :)

Microwave popcorn. Yes, it's horrible I know, but it's so puffy and crunchy and salty. :worried:

Oh, I know what you mean. I use to eat the microwave Kettle Corn popcorn ALL THE TIME!! Soooooo yummy!!! But, it is very expensive to buy, not to mention how unhealthy it is.... so... I started making it at home!! Probably a bit better health wise then the store bought microwave stuff, but still not good for us humans, with all the sugar the recipe called for. The pounds were piling up on me. I finally decided I just had to stop making it altogether. I haven't had it now for a couple years.

I used to be a microwave popcorn junkie! I would eat all 3 bags in a box in one day. :D

When I was a kid, well, to put it lightly my mom only needed two settings on the stove, on and off... She also taught me to make popcorn in a pan using butter instead of oil, so I'd always hated making popcorn on the stove because it made a giant smoking mess most of the time and usually popped up and burned me.

Every time the subject of popcorn comes up I ponder getting an air popper, but I'll probably be sticking to oil and salt for a long time though. I've got making it down to a science these days. :D

You started making kettle corn at home? What recipe did you use?

Kettle Corn

1/4 cup uncooked popcorn
1/8 cup white sugar
1/8 cup canola oil

If you need more than that, double the recipe. You can also do some experimenting, adding less sugar and oil.
Doesn't look to healthy, huh?

It's probably healthier than the type of Kettle Corn you buy at Fairs or in the store...

Good point, since you can see there is only 3 ingredients... not ingredients you can't pronounce.
