Since breakfast is the most important meal of the day, due to the fact that it lets our body know that it is time to wake up your metabolism and start burning fat, I want to create this challenge!

I am bad about not eating breakfast but I want to improve because I know the importance of eating breakfast.

Breakfast Challenge:

You must eat breakfast every day for a week... the meals must be eaten within 1 hour of waking up... post what you had to eat every day. Is anyone up for taking the Challenge with me? We will start every Monday and you can post a smiley face for each week you have done it successfully and it starts over every Monday! If you skip or don't complete a week you still get to keep all of your smiley faces for weeks completed.

The first on to 10 smiley faces wins!!! We will start on Monday. Jan 26th!!!

So there's no room to mess up on this ... one smiley for each (five-day) week and the first to 10 weeks wins?

I'm in.

Also, is it from the time I wake up or the time I get out of bed? Sometimes those are 30 minutes apart... (LOL)

7 days a week? That is tough, but count me in! I am taking the kids to the grocery store today. Mark said he wants to play too!

I'll do it. I always thought I was good about eating breakfast... but today I just realized I got up at 7:30 and didn't eat breakfast until 10:30!!!

Monday, January 26th.

I woke up at 6:45 am and I ate breakfast at my cubicle at 7:30 am. I had a banana, green tea, and oatmeal.

Tuesday, January 27th.

Woke up at 9:00 am (slept in!!! woo hoo!) Ate bacon and eggs at 9:15 am.

Wednesday, January 28th.

Woke up at 7:00 am, ate banana, oatmeal, and green tea at 8:00 am.

Thursday, January 29th.

Woke up at 7:00 am. Ate half a banana at 7:40 am. Ate oatmeal and green tea at 8:00 am.

Friday, January 30th.

Woke up at 7:45 am. Ate bagel and egg sandwhich at 8:30 am with some green tea.

Saturday, January 31st.

Woke up at 8 am. Ate oatmeal and green tea at 8:30 am.

Sunday, February 1st.

Woke up at 7:45 am and ate a banana for breakfast at 8:15 am.

:D I woke up at 7 and ate breakfast at 7:30. I had a Special K protein bar, a banana and a cup of tea

What constitutes for a healthy breakfast?

Day 1 done! :D

Week 1
day 1: Woke up at 8:15; at 8:30 ate a banana, a cup of Special K with berries cereal and a small glass of milk.
tuesday: Woke up at 9, ate a banana and had coffee at 9:30
wednesday: Up at 8:20-ish, same food as Monday at 8:45
thursday: up at 9:50; ate a banana and coffee at 10:30
friday: up at 8:45; banana, toast and coffee at 9:15.
saturday: up at 945; banana and cereal at 10:30
sunday: up at 8:45; banana and coffee at 9:15.

For the first few weeks, let's just focus on eating breakfast... if you want it to be a healthy breakfast... more power to you!

Right now let's tackle just putting something in your body when you wake up. If you are ready for the next step and want to make it healthy please go for it... be my inspiration!

Woke up at 7:00 a.m. had a blueberry muffin, realized I didn't need to be up for another 2 hours so I went back to sleep... woke up again at 9:30 had a second breakfast of an orange and cereal just so you guys can't say I didn't eat when I got up!

On Sunday I will go through and award smiley faces for everyone who completes the entire week and keep the tally... that way it doesn't get too confusing. So make sure you post your breakfast online, because that is what I will go by!

Mark

Monday - sausage egg McMuffin, hashbrowns, OJ

I didn't get to go to the store yesterday... So I let Mark pick this morning... tomorrow we'll eat better! ;)

Edit - I'll try this, no garauntees it will work though.

Jan 27th
Woke up at 6am had breakfast at 6:15am to the sound of Mark saying, "Come on dad we gotta eat!"
Junior - Raisin Brand Crunch, a banana and coffee
Mark - Cheerios, a banana and milk

Jan 28th
Woke up at 6 had breakfast at 6:30
Junior - Yogurt and a coffee
Mark - Yogurt and OJ

Jan 29th
Woke up at 6:15 at breakfast at 6:45
Junior - Raisin Brand Crunch and Coffee
Mark - Cheerios and OJ

Jan 30th
Woke up late today 6:45 eating breakfast at work 7:15
Junior - a Banana and a muffin
Mark - pop tarts

Jan 31st
Woke up and took the family to Denny's (grand slam for me, chocolate chip pancakes for Mark) it was right at the 1 hour threshold

If you want to you can edit your previous post to include your breakfast for the week...

Just click the edit button and add your next breakfast if you want to... that way we won't have a thousand posts of cereal and fruit on this day!
