I had some celery stalks cut into 6 or so inch pieces sitting in a container full of cold water in the fridge. I also had some Garden Vegetable flavored Philadelphia soft cream cheese left over. http://brands.kraftfoods.com/philly/products.htm

The two go really well together.

I don't like cooked celery at all. There's something about the watery nature of raw celery with creamy things like peanut butter and cream cheese that's really nice though.

Is it the tastes ? I know for me, celery just turns into a watery spoon when I eat it with peanut butter or cream cheese. Otherwise I don't like the taste of celery.

I'm not fond of avocado or guacamole either. Yuck ! (oddly I like growing avocado though)
I haven't found anything I can mix them with I like either, it's one of those things that as soon as I taste it even if I don't see it I stop mid-bite, spit it out, and don't finish whatever it was I was eating.

I've always enjoyed raw celery- I think it's got a great taste. Never tried it cooked though...

Wish I liked spinach, I've heard it's really good for you.
I really don't like celery all by itself, it seems like you have to chew and chew before you can swallow it.
I use to put that cheese spread in the jar on celery, that is really yummy. But I am sure that cheese spread probably isn't good for you.
I do put cut up celery in hamburger stew and chili. It's yummy in those.
I don't like cream cheese either.
I think that's about it.

I think what bugs me the most about celery is the texture. I don't like how much you have to chew it to eat it and how it is so stringy. I like celery when it is cooked in stews and stuff like that though... probably because the texture completely changes!

Yup, it's the taste of cream cheese, sour cream, avocado, and guacamole that I don't like. I've tried them all more than once and I just can't stand the taste. I'm the same way though... if somebody accidentally puts some sour cream in my soft taco and I take a bite... I have to spit it out!!!!

When I was a kid my family always took healthy ideas and made them bad for you... Celery and aerosol cheese... tasted great... made me fatter! Why Mom, Why ?!?
