Do you feel like you gain extra pounds during the holidays? Surprisingly there are actually traditional holiday foods that you can have that are still healthy for you. If you prepare these foods in a healthy way and watch your serving size, you don't have to gain the extra pounds during the holidays!

  • Turkey - 3 to 4 ounces is a normal portion size for turkey. If you eat it without the skin and the gravy, you'll save hundreds of calories.
  • Sweet Potatoes - These are one of the healthiest vegetables around so long as they don't get soaked in butter or any other calorie consuming topping.
  • Cranberries - These are loaded with disease fighting antioxidants and fiber.
  • Stuffing - Use low sodium chicken broth instead of butter to keep the dish moist and low in fat.
