Something interesting about peppermint!

People who regularly smelled peppermint ate 23 percent fewer calories per week, a study from Wheeling Jesuit University in West Virginia found. Pop a piece of sugarless mint gum or sip some peppermint tea and take a whiff to outsmart a craving.

What do you guys think? Want to try it to see if it works???

I always thought the Biggest Loser TV show had those tidbits about chewing a piece of sugarless gum to avoid craving just to make money from advertising the gum... but are you saying chewing peppermint gum really does reduce the cravings for sweets??

Yes, I find sucking on a perpermint does help with cravings. I like to drink water afterwards, I like the fresh feeling in my mouth and also does help with cravings. I keep them at my desk or in my car. Maybe its psychological?? works for me.
