I was just wondering what people thought about how long after a bottle of red wine has been opened is it still drinkable? The other night I had a glass of red wine from a bottle that had been opened a while ago. I didn't get sick from it or anything, but I would say it did not taste so good!

I just am not a big drinker, so there is no way I could finish a bottle in one sitting. What am I supposed to do with the left over wine? Let it go to waste? I read something online about after red wine is no longer drinkable it can be used for cooking. So that is a thought. I'm just not sure how to incorporate wine into my dishes.
