Post subject: Does exercise make you feel better about yourself?

I went out yesterday and ran in the "Y Run For Kids" 5k race. I did not win or anything cool like that, but I had a great feeling when I finished. I expended all of my energy doing it and was so tired when I finished... but I felt great! I was wondering why I felt this way... was it the endorphins your body produces when you exercise? Was it the sense of accomplishment of finishing a race? Or was it the simple fact that I realize I am an active person now, who likes to push himself and see what his limits are?!?
All I know is that being active leaves you feeling good about yourself... it doesn't matter how fast or what place you come in... whether you are good at a sport or even to an extent, what activity you are doing. It matters that you are pushing yourself to become a better you in a healthy way!
Get out and do something every day and you'll feel better, look better and be happier...
