There are two things that I have found helps me stay motivated.

One: Find workout friends... social interaction makes it seem less like work and more like fun!

Two: Find something you love to do that is active... it can be anything... I like sports and outdoor activities... I can do that all day, but I can't lift weights all day or run on a treadmill all day... I'd get bored! I have started to view my workouts as an avenue to get better in the activities I love to do.

If you like photography... start thinking about how walking on the treadmill will allow you to go on hike to the top of a mountain for a beautiful picture!

If you like gardening... thing about how much easier it will be to pull weeds after you've worked on your core muscles

Use activities you love to do to fuel your motivation to do the less desirable, but important exercise!!!

If you want ideas on what exercises you could do to improve your hobbies... just ask!

The scale is my motivation! Right now it is discouraging me from eating and making me want to exercise!

Does watching TV count as an activity you enjoy doing??? Just kidding.

Snow skiing and snow boarding season is coming up quick... I am going to go for my first time! Does anyone know what exercises I could do to get ready for that?

Work on your quads!! Do squats! My quads always get so sore after the first couple times I go snowboarding each year. Ah, I can't wait... snowboarding is so much fun!!!

Can't help you there pal, I'm from Texas... the only snow we get is in a cone... I think Tammy is a good snow boarder though... I'm sure she'll be able to steer you in the right direction!

Marie is right, my quads really feel it... strong quads help a lot! Also my calves too. Usually after the first day of snowboarding during a new season, my quads and calves are super sore, but then my body gets back into the groove after that!
