Here is a list of preventive aids you can use to help prevent back pain.
  • When you sneeze, try to sneeze up rather than down.
  • When you cough, try to arch backward rather than forward.
  • Avoid twisting your back when you bend.
  • Sit upright. If you need help, use a chair that provides low-back support.
  • Stand tall. It is good for the spine.
  • Work at surfaces of proper height.
  • Wear arch supports in your shoes... they help whether you are flat footed or not.
  • When lifting, keep your back as straight as possible with the object that you are lifting close to your body. Use your hips and knees for bending rather than your back.

One of the ways I have found that helps me prevent back pain is to stretch! When I keep my muscles (especially leg muscles) from getting super tight, it helps my back from getting tight and causing me pain.

I am trying to picture how someone would sneeze up and it doesn't look very pretty! After all, it's hachooo, not hachiii!

  • Exercise often and keep your back muscles strong.
  • Maintain a healthy weight or lose weight if you weigh too much.
  • To have strong bones, you need to get enough calcium and vitamin D every day.

I got this visual of someone sneezing into the air and having germs rain down on everybody.

I'll have to try this. (with my mouth covered of course) I usually lean over and sneeze in the direction of the ground. Sometimes violent enough to make me hop in the air an inch or so. Can't be good for my back doing that.

This has been an issue for me my entire life. Everywhere I've worked with counters/desks/etc has had ones that are too short. Every house I've lived in the counters are short along with my tables and the shower head makes me bend down. One day when I'm rich I'm going to build a tall person house. :D
