There are certain foods which cause inflammation in the body. Many people can't tolerate lactose in their body and suffer from allergies. If you wish to drink milk, go for the lactose-free variety.

Try to avoid any refined sugars like white sugar, brown sugar, corn syrups, turbinado sugar, confectioners sugars, etc. You can instead go for the natural sugar foodstuffs, like honey, rice syrup and date paste.

Some people are allergic to gluten. So avoid gluten containing food items, like wheat, oats and rye.

Oils like sunflower, corn, soy, safflower and peanut contain high linoleic acid, which has a pro-inflammatory influence on the body. Avoid such oils for inflammation in the body, instead go for extra virgin olive oil or avocado oil.

Processed food items may be delicious, but are very low on nutrition and many times contain chemical preservatives. Try to avoid any junk or processed foodstuffs, instead go for a bowl of fruits and nuts for snacks.

Caffeine in coffee or tea increases inflammation in a person's body. So, switch to herbal green tea. Remove alcohol from you diet. It will help you to prevent inflammation.

Try to absolutely avoid red meat, as it causes inflammation, and try to avoid excess of all other meats too. Instead, switch to eating fish, as fish is actually a great anti-inflammatory food.

Corn, its oil or syrup increase the level of lactic acid in the body. So, maintain in the diary, the times you had any corn foodstuffs, and were allergic to them.

However, there are some of the top anti-inflammatory foodstuffs which you can include in your diet, to prevent the inflammation in the body. Such foods are salmon, olive oil for cooking and dressing, green tea, herbs like basil, licorice, turmeric, etc.
