Foods to Avoid and Foods to Eat

When trying to lose weight there are better foods to eat then others.

Foods to cut back include:
  • White foods such as white bread, white rice, white flour, potatoes, pasta...
  • Sugar and treats - cut back on the cookies, ice cream, and candy.

Good foods to eat include:
  • Proteins - fish, chicken, turkey
  • Green salad filled with vegetables using a light dressing
  • Egg whites
  • Yogurt
  • Wheat toast
  • Fruits & vegetables

*Tip: Drink 8 glasses a day of cold ice water... Your body burns calories just through heating the water up to your body temperature.

What a great tip... I didn't know that ice water helps your body burn calories by heating the water up to your body temperature!!!

You always want to practice portion control! A good method for this is to take a look at the food pyramid and follow the portions listed there.

The foods listed in this topic are meant to replace those foods listed in the top portion of the food pyramid.

Foods to Avoid and Foods to Eat ,When trying to lose weight there are better foods to eat then others. Avoid White foods such as white bread, white rice, white flour, potatoes, pasta, etc. Sugar and treats - cut back on the cookies, ice cream, and candy. Take salad or fruit juice as one time meal. Try it out. hope it may help.

Vegetables and fruits are best diet for reducing weight.Vegetables have carbohydrates which give help in reducing weight.I also eat vegetables regularly and keep me fit and active.i always try to avoid oily food which gives fat.

Well There are some foods that should be taken or not that are categorized as Good Foods and Foods that Should be avoided below

Good Food:

vegetables
Eggs
Fish

Foods that should be avoided:

Oily Foods like Potato Chips

One of the best foods to eat when trying to lose weight is definitely quick oats. It's so easy to use in your day to day routine. Most people have it for breakfast, but remember not to have it alone. Either have some fresh fruits or add dried fruits like raisins or cranberries. It's good to mix up your meals instead of eating just 1 thing at a time.

Vegetables and salad greens are naturally low in carbohydrates and fat and high in minerals, fiber and vitamins. If you eat vegetable raw, it has a lower glycemic index than if you eat it cooked, and has higher antioxidants and vitamins.

Starchy vegetables also have low to moderate GI, however be aware that white potatoes have relatively high GI. Yam, sweet potatoes and taro root have a lot of carbohydrates that are unrefined and contain a lot of fiber.

List of food must be avoid while losing weight.
Fried chicken,
French fries,
White bread,
Fried wantons,
Sausages,
Chips,
Can cheese,
Non dairy toppings,
Doughnuts.
