I read a blog from Mayo Clinic and according to Nancy Klobassa, R.N., and Peggy Moreland, R.N:


Morning is usually the best time to weigh yourself, because variations in food and liquid consumption affect weight through out the day. Shoes and clothes can add 3-5 pounds.
They also suggest that you only use one scale to base your weight loss. There digital and mechanical scales. The digital scale has larger numbers and is easier to read. Mechanical scales with needle dials may tend to be less accurate than digital scales. Professional scales in gyms and doctor's offices are more accurate than scales designed for home use.


How many times do you weigh yourself in a day? week? month? Do you use digital or mechanical scales?

The best time to weigh is in the morning, after using the bathroom and before working out. It is best to wear very light or no clothing at all when weighing in the morning. Keep your scale in the same place to make sure that it is consistent with its readings. The best place to weigh is in the bathroom, and you should try to keep the scale in the same area each day, on the same tile or tiles. The worst surface to weigh yourself on is carpet. Carpet is not stable and the scale will not be consistent. Be sure to weigh at the same time every morning.

Well,thanks for sharing useful information....In the morning after you go to the bathroom and before you eat any breakfast....but dont focus too much on how much weight you are losing....!

i think the morning is the best, before you eat your breakfast. I usually weight my self just before breakfast. (i just eat my breakfast usually 10 - 11 AM. )

The best time to weigh is right when you leave the bed and the best time to work out to shed those weights is also the same time when you weigh. So rather than screaming on your weight machine, the best you can do is to bring smiles to your health and lower the weight on the weight machine.
